- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
What is Casemaker Libra?
Casemaker Libra is an online searchable library of Deskbooks and continuing legal education materials published by the Washington State Bar Association and linked to the Casemaker database. You may subscribe to an individual book, to a practice area library, or to the All-Publications Library. Subscriptions are for one year, and you will have access to any supplements or new publications added during that year to a practice area library or All-Publications Library subscription. If you have subscribed to an individual book and a supplement to or new edition of that book is issued during your subscription year, your subscription will be automatically updated to include the new material. Typical links into the Casemaker system include case law, statutes, acts, and administrative codes. You may browse or search individual books or search by practice area library or All-Publications Library, depending on your subscriptions.
How do I pay?
You pay online using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) via the Casemaker secure e-commerce server.
Can more than one person participate?
Group Subscriptions are available. Click here for pricing.
To whom do I direct questions of a technical nature?
For technical support, please call 1-844-838-0790.
While searching or browsing, the system asked me to subscribe even after I had purchased a subscription – why is that?
Your subscription to the book or practice area library may have expired. You can log in and check expiration dates on the “My Account” page.
Can I print the book I have subscribed to?
You can print one chapter at a time.
How do I access the books after a successful subscription purchase?
Upon registration, you should receive a confirmation email with full instructions. If you do not have this email a book can be accessed as follows:
- Log in with email and password to the Casemaker Libra website.
- Under “My Account” the books you have subscribed to will be displayed.
- Click on “View Online” next to your purchased title.

Do I have to be an attorney to purchase a group subscription to the All-Publications Library for the law firm I work for?
No, but the individuals for whom the group subscription is being purchased must be. Can I purchase additional licenses for my existing Casemaker Libra subscription to the All-Publications Library?
You may upgrade your existing subscription to the All-Publications Library to include additional licenses under Group Subscription Pricing. You will be credited for the number of days remaining on your existing subscription, and that credit will be applied toward the price of the upgraded group subscription. If you choose to upgrade within the first 30 days of an existing subscription, the full price of that subscription will be applied toward the price of the upgraded subscription. Call Casemaker Customer Support at 1-844-838-0790 for details.
If I purchase a subscription to a single deskbook and decide during the term of this annual subscription to purchase a subscription to the practice area library that the deskbook is a part of or to the All-Publications Library, is the amount I paid for my original single-deskbook subscription credited toward the subscription to the larger library?
Yes. You will be credited for the number of days remaining on your existing single-deskbook subscription, and that credit will be applied toward the price of the subscription to the larger library. If you choose to make this change within the first 30 days of purchasing the existing subscription, the full price of that subscription will be applied toward the price of the larger library. Call Casemaker Customer Support at 1-844-838-0790 for details.
If I am not satisfied with my Casemaker Libra subscription can I receive a refund of my annual subscription payment?
Your annual subscription payment will be refunded if the request for refund is received by Casemaker Customer Support within 30 days of purchase of the subscription. No refunds are available after the first 30 days of a subscription. Please call 1-844-838-0790 to speak with a Casemaker customer support representative.
